Stopping women in call centre at night

After the death in Pune of employee of Call Centre, people are giving views that women should stop working in night shift. is this the only way.............. ?
in my opinion in night shift or evening shift every cab should be run with a security guard, and GPS.
BPO owner says the death is responsibility of Cab owner, here i would like to say being professional how BPO's can hire unprofessional cab companies.

may be for BPO's it is very light incident, as they spent most of the time in a circle where having sex is not a rape
